Marathon

The full marathon starts near 1snt and C Streets and provides a rare, scenic tour along the whole length of Eureka's Waterfront Trails, the Bay Trail and a loop around Klopp Lake in Arcata Marsh. Runners will experience the morning unfolding and the waterfront coming alive as they cover the course. Just like the Half Marathon, this race is virtually flat with ample bathrooms, aid stations and spots for supporters to sit and cheer.

Elevation Profile:
The course will be almost entirely flat as it stays very close to the waterfront. Maximum elevation on the course is approximately 20 feet above sea level.
Time Limit:
There is a 6 hour time limit. Traffic control and official race timing will end at 1 PM. Note: if you expect to need more than 6 hours to finish the marathon, please email the race director (terrivlittle@gmail.com) to ask about an early start.
Aid Stations:
Approximately every 2 miles.
Parking:
There is a gravel lot at 1st and D, and there is plenty of free and unrestricted street parking and city lots on Sundays.
Gear Drop:
We will check bags for runners at the start/finish area and have them waiting for you when you finish.
Finisher Medals:
Finisher Medals are given to all participants finishing within the allotted time.
Shirt:
Registrations before 7/22/2025 will include a race shirt with this year's custom artwork
